We're going to be on TV!

We were recently asked to supply a door, a frame and accessories for a property in Ecclesfield, Sheffield.

This turned out to be an interesting project as the house is the focus of a new Channel 4 series called "Home of the Future".

During the series, the lives of a family are transformed as their home is filled from top to bottom with futuristic technology and gadgets, as well as having cutting edge technology and gadgets to play with, the family will be challenged with scenarios they are likely to come across in the next twenty to fifty years.

Part of this project is a computer-controlled thumb print door entry system, meaning the family don't need to remember a set of keys when they leave the property.

Doordeals supplied an Oak Turin Glazed Door with a vestibule frame and a fanlight along with all the fixtures and fittings required to create a modern, contemporary and welcoming entrance to the home.

Being a dramatic transformation with a special touch, we suggested and supplied an etched door number in the top fanlight of the entranceway, helping to finish off the overall look.
