Product Detail
Derwent Oak Internal Doors The natural texture of internal oak doors means that they can bring a feeling of warmth to any home and these stunning Derwent oak internal doors are no exception. These oak internal doors really stand out from the crowd as they feature flat panels of quarter sawn oak instead of the more usual raised and fielded panelling which creates a very traditional and unique finish. The Derwent internal oak doors are ideal for accepting a stain or a Danish oil finish so you can bring out the natural colour of the oak in a tone that’s right for you.

These internal oak doors are manufactured using laminated veneered lumber (LVL) which is more commonly known as “engineered timber” and is a modern method of construction that is economical with the use of natural timber resources. The main parts and rails of the oak internal doors are usually constructed using solid strips/blocks of timber (some internals may contain a laminated board and/or particleboard), which are then glued and clamped together. They are then faced with a veneer and edged with a solid timber “lipping”. The benefits of using engineered internal oak doors over more traditional methods are; the door has a much more uniform look (no mismatched colours/panels, everything matches), it is far more unlikely to twist or split (we do not get problems with panels splitting) and possibly the most important reason is that it is much more eco friendly. If you have any questions about our oak internal doors then please feel free to contact us.
