The original and still best in it's class, an ideal way to increase the light into your home our Oak Trufold French Doors offer a stylish and aesthetically pleasing solution.
With super thick 54mm doors, extra thick and wide stong, chunky frames, the sets exude quality.
The set opens outwards in order to save space in the home, this also elimates the chance of water dripping down the glass onto your floor covering in incliment weather. The leading door can either be the left or the right.
A 7 point locking system and security bolt hinges are used as extra security, with the hinges having the added benefit of allowing the doors to lift on and off for easier maintenance or recoating in future years.
The sets use double glazed units with Low E, toughened, thermally efficient glass. A rating of 1.7W/m2K makes these sets Part L compliant and ideal for refurbishment or extensions to existing homes. The Low E glass reflects the heat into the home in the winter and keeps the home cooler in the summer, reducing carbon emissions from the home. Double weather seals also offer extra weather and draught protection.
These French door sets are available with either Brass or Chrome hardware. Please use the drop-down box above to select your chosen finish.
These external French door sets are supplied pre-finished with a 3-coat factory applied finish, which means the sets are ready to fit immediately without further finishing.
These doors are manufactured using LVL (Laminated Veneered Lumber). LVL or more commonly known as “engineered timber” is a modern method of construction that is economical with the use of natural timber resources. The main parts & rails of the door are usually constructed using solid strips/blocks of timber (some internals may contain a laminated board and/or particleboard), which are then glued and then clamped together. They are then faced with a veneer and edged with a solid timber “lipping”. The benefits of using engineered construction doors over more traditional methods are; The door has a much more uniform look (no mismatched colours/panels, everything matches), It is far more unlikely to twist, split (we do not get problems with panels splitting) and possibly the most important reason is that it is much more Eco friendly!
