About this door

The Oak Copenhagen External Door from LPD Doors is a great, unique, contemporary design and will create a modern look when used as an entrance to your property.

In a boarded style, five vertical panels are complemented with three rectangular glazing apertures, pre-glazed with frosted glass. This glass allows light to flood into the property whilst maintaining a degree of privacy.

Used on its own, or as part of a grander entrance with sidelights, the Copenhagen is a fantastic option for those looking for clean lines and a contemporary feature to the outside of their property.

Glazing

This door is pre-glazed with double glazed frosted safety glass. Often referred to as sandblasted, etched, opal or satin. This glass option maintains a high level of privacy while still allowing the maximum amount of light in to your home.

Supplied unfinished, these doors are able to take a stain or paint finish. A range of products would be suitable, including Impranol, which is available from the "Stains, Paints and Finishes" section of our website.

These doors are manufactured using laminated veneered lumber (LVL). LVL or more commonly known as “engineered timber” is a modern method of construction that is economical with the use of natural timber resources.

The main parts & rails of the door are usually constructed using solid strips/blocks of timber (some internals may contain a laminated board and/or particleboard), which are then glued and then clamped together.

They are then faced with a veneer and edged with a solid timber “lipping”. The benefits of using engineered construction doors over more traditional methods are that it is far more unlikely to twist or split (we do not get problems with panels splitting) and possibly the most important reason is that it is much more eco-friendly!
