About this door

These 40mm Oak Booker 2 Panel 2 light doors have a very substantial look & feel to them. This is partly down to much wider stiles & rails than found on other, similar looking products. These internal doors also benefit from the use of a high quality crown cut veneer which really does give the door a quality aura.
The classic four panel design of these oak doors means that they are suitable no matter what style your current interior design is..

Glazing

This door is supplied ready to glaze with various glass options, allowing you to customise the door to your tastes. Two glazing panels will allow lots of natural light to brighten up your hallway and the glazing is complemented with two engineered clear pine panels for a classic overall look.

Finishing

Supplied Unfinished, these doors are able to take a stain or paint finish. Our recommendation for a natural, clear finish would be to use a Treatex hardwax oil.

There is also the option for "pre-finishing" on these doors. Choosing Pre-finishing for this product means the doors will be treated with three applications of a clear, satin laquer. meaning no further decorating is required. This treatment leaves a super smooth, satin look which really does show off the quality of the veneer.

Things we thought you may need to know!

These doors are constructed with solid oak 12mm lipping along the long edges and 6mm lipping on the top and bottom of the doors which means they look just like solid oak doors but are far more eco friendly.

These doors are manufactured using LVL (Laminated Veneered Lumber). LVL or more commonly known as “engineered timber” is a modern method of construction that is economical with the use of natural timber resources. The main parts & rails of the door are usually constructed using solid strips/blocks of timber (some internals may contain a laminated board and/or particleboard), which are then glued and then clamped together. They are then faced with a veneer and edged with a solid timber “lipping”. The benefits of using engineered construction doors over more traditional methods are; The door has a much more uniform look (no mismatched colours/panels, everything matches), It is far more unlikely to twist, split (we do not get problems with panels splitting) and possibly the most important reason is that it is much more Eco friendly!
