About this door

The Internal Oak 2XGM Door is a great choice for customers wanting to bring as much light as possible into an area.

With a traditional style and clean lines, these doors will suit a myriad of properties.

These internal Oak doors feature raised and fielded panels in the bottom part of the door, with a large glazing panel above creating a great look.

These doors are manufactured from solid American White Oak in the United Kingdom using traditional stub mortice & tenon, wedged and glued construction.

Please Note: These doors are constructed with an 80mm section and therefore will not accept a 3" latch, we recommend that 2.5" latches are used on these doors. These doors can also be manufactured with wider stiles (approx. 120mm) if required, please give us a call on 0114 2557800 or drop us an email at info@doordeals.co.uk for more information.

As these doors are made to order, there is a lead time of approximately two to three weeks for manufacture.

These doors are FSC certified - Chain of custody certification ensures that the door can be tracked from the day it's manufactured to the point of delivery and is produced from certified materials. FSC is the mark of responsible forestry.

Glazing

Various glass options are available.

Custom Sizes

On this product there is an option to have the door made to a custom size. The maximum dimensions we can offer would be 914mm (36") x 2132mm (Approx 84"). There is an additional charge for this service (see size dropdown box for details).

Finishing

Supplied Unfinished, these doors are able to take a stain or paint finish. Our recommendation for a natural, clear finish would be to use a Treatex Hardwax Oil, which is available from the "Stains, Paints and Finishes" section of our website.

On this product, there is also an option for the door to be supplied pre-finished by our french polisher. If you select this option, your door will be supplied pre-finished to a professional standard.

Your door will be pre-sanded with a 180 grit sandpaper before being sprayed with a base coat of A/C lacquer. When dry, the door is then "de-nibbed" by hand and sprayed with further top coats of A/C lacquer, specially formulated for doors and internal joinery.

This achieves a great looking semi-matt finish which is resistant to knocks and finger marks and is smooth to the touch.

Selecting this option will add approximately a week on to any estimated lead time.

The correct storage, fitting and finishing of your new door/s are very important factors in getting the best out of your purchase.

We would always recommend reading our Door Care information which can be viewed by Clicking Here, along with any additional manufacturers documentation supplied with the door itself.

If there is anything you are unsure of, you are more than welcome to give us a call to discuss on 0114 2557800 or drop us an email at info@doordeals.co.uk.

Things we thought you may need to know!

Please be aware that any glass supplied may be temporarily glazed (loose pinned) into the door or even supplied separately. This is done to make the door easier to decorate (allows you to paint/stain behind rebates) & handle whilst hanging.

These doors may be despatched with extended stiles (horns) to ensure protection during transit & storage. They can easily be removed prior to installation.

These doors may contain knots.
