About this door

These Clear Pine Richmond Unglazed Doors from LPD Doors are fully engineered to provide an attractive and practical alternative to solid timber doors. The benefits of having engineered doors are sturdy construction and a refined and consistent finish. Quality joints and modern adhesive technology ensure strength and longevity.

Please note: The 15", 18" and 21" wide doors have only two panels as opposed to four.

Glazing

This door is supplied ready to glaze with various glass options, allowing you to customise the door to your tastes.
Two glazing panels will allow lots of natural light to brighten up your hallway and the glazing is complemented with two engineered clear pine panels for a classic overall look.

Things we thought you may need to know!

Please be aware that any glass supplied may be temporarily glazed (loose pinned) into the door or even supplied separately. This is done to make the door easier to decorate (allows you to paint/stain behind rebates) & handle whilst hanging.

This door comes with the optional choice of glazing. We order the glass in especially for you, so it will add a small amount of time to the overall manufacturing lead times.

At present, most glazing options are taking between 3 - 10 working days (approx) to arrive into us.

Where available, specialist glass such as stained, leaded, or encapsulated glass can take up to 6 weeks; however, we think it's worth the wait!

It's important to factor in these lead times, as once ordered, we are unable to cancel or refund the glazing.

Supplied unfinished, these doors are able to take a stain or paint finish.

The correct storage, fitting and finishing of your new doors are very important factors in getting the best out of your purchase.

Please always avoid the use of water-based finishing products as this may cause the door to bow, warp or delaminate. Using these types of products will invalidate your guarantee.

Before finishing your door, we would always recommend reading our Door Care information which can be viewed by clicking here, along with any additional manufacturer's documentation supplied with the door itself.

These doors are manufactured using laminated veneered lumber (LVL). LVL or more commonly known as “engineered timber” is a modern method of construction that is economical with the use of natural timber resources.

The main parts & rails of the door are usually constructed using solid strips/blocks of timber (some internals may contain a laminated board and/or particleboard), which are then glued and then clamped together.

They are then faced with a veneer and edged with a solid timber “lipping”. The benefits of using engineered construction doors over more traditional methods are that it is far more unlikely to twist or split (we do not get problems with panels splitting) and possibly the most important reason is that it is much more eco-friendly!
