About this door
The Oak 4 Light Stable Double Glazed is a very popular choice for those looking for a traditional styled stable door in an attractive cottage style. Suitable for inward opening applications only.
Creating an additional degree of flexibility with the stable style allowing you to open the top half of the door, whilst keeping the bottom half closed - ideal for when you want to enjoy the summer weather but keep your animals or children inside!
As opposed to lesser versions which feature a single piece of glass and use 'astragals' stuck to the face of the glass - our 4 light stable features four individual bevelled double glazed units. This gives the door an elegance and retains the full effect of the attractive glazing bars.
This gives a fantastic aesthetic and allows natural light to flood into your home when required.
These doors are manufactured from solid hardwood which is generously faced and lipped with real oak using an engineered construction to aid stability.
These doors are supplied pre-glazed with clear toughened bevelled double glazed units.

These doors are manufactured using laminated veneered lumber (LVL). LVL or more commonly known as “engineered timber” is a modern method of construction that is economical with the use of natural timber resources.
The main parts & rails of the door are usually constructed using solid strips/blocks of timber (some internals may contain a laminated board and/or particleboard), which are then glued and then clamped together.
They are then faced with a veneer and edged with a solid timber “lipping”. The benefits of using engineered construction doors over more traditional methods are that it is far more unlikely to twist or split (we do not get problems with panels splitting) and possibly the most important reason is that it is much more eco-friendly!
