With the current worldwide situation and developing circumstances, whilst it's always been our aim to ensure business as usual at Doordeals, we wanted to add some clarity to our approach.

The safety and well-being of customers and colleagues is always our top priority and as the current guidance and advice changes, we have to ensure our business practices align with these, taking into consideration the latest from the World Health Organisation and Government.

With the fluidity of the situation, we'll update this page in order to provide a single source of the latest on our business operations, so please keep an eye on this. To make it easier to get the answers you require quickly and clearly, we'll provide this in an FAQ format.

Are you still open for business/taking orders?

As an online retailer, we are doing our best to remain open and continue to fulfil orders under the current difficult circumstances.

Orders are still being processed and manufacturing continues to run, albeit with a skeleton staff.

Updated 30/03/20 - We still have good stocks on a number of popular styles, however, our supply chain is currently affected by the ongoing crisis.

Standard sized/'Off the shelf' Items

Orders for standard sized items which aren't currently in stock in our warehouse are likely to be delayed as several suppliers are either closed or partially open with a skeleton staff.

Any orders placed on our website will be processed and placed in the 'queue', ensuring that they are fulfilled as soon as physically possible.

Bespoke & 'Made to Order' Items

On products manufactured to order, for example Hemlock doors, flush fire doors with glazing apertures and bespoke sized doors - manufacture continues, but with a skeleton staff. This means that lead times are likely to be longer than usual.

We'd strongly recommend giving us a call for further details on the stocks readily available and lead times on items made to order.

With the current Government requirements and well-being in mind, we are operating with a skeleton staff and staff working from home.

This means that our telephones and live chat function will be manned during the following revised hours:

  • Monday to Friday - 09:00 - 17:15

We would also encourage email enquiries via, which will be responded to as soon as possible, manned during the above working hours and periodically outside of these.

We would ask for patience as our staff look to work away from the dedicated office facilities they normally share. Things may be a little slower or slightly less efficient, but we'll do our best to offer the level of service our customers are used to!

Placing and securing orders

Our website and ordering system is operating as normal, orders can therefore be placed on the website or via the telephone.

We are able to take payment via Credit/debit card, Paypal or BACS.

We appreciate that in the current climate, there may be some customers who are uncomfortable making a large purchase with lesser clarity than usual on the time in which an order will be fulfilled.

At this moment in time, we're more than happy to discuss the potential placing of an order with a deposit payment to secure it, with the balance payment due once delivery is scheduled.

Are you still making deliveries?

We're working hard to facilitate the swift turnaround and fulfilment of existing orders, within the remits of current and ongoing government requirements and of course, taking into consideration the safety of customers and our employees.

We do run our own fleet of vehicles and as such, have greater control over deliveries than if relying on a third-party.

As a matter of course during this time, we've implemented a strict hygiene procedure for staff, improved social distancing measures and will ensure that no-contact options are available and used as much as possible.

With a reduced capacity for deliveries at this time, it's likely to take longer than usual for us to deliver your items, though we'll prioritise urgent orders and look to get out everything we can.

We will contact customers with outstanding deliveries and would ask that you make us aware of any changes to situation and any self-isolation practices you may be undertaking.

With running our own fleet, we'll be poised to return to the road with the normal high-number of delivery routes as soon as restrictions are lifted and it's safe to do so.

Can I order for collection?

Whilst our warehouse is currently attended, we aren't openly welcoming visitors to our showroom and warehouse facility in line with the latest government advice and requirements, in order to protect the well-being of staff and customers.
