Security Hinges

Your doorset will be hung in the frame using three  4" Lift off security hinges.

Offering easy and quick door removal, these hinges will give you the flexibility in lifting off the door for maintenance or easier access through a door opening.

An integral security bolt offers security from attempted unauthorised entry via cutting or removing hinge pins. The "dog" bolt reinforces the door and prevents the door from being lifted or moved off the hinges when the door is closed.

Manufactured in the United Kingdom from heavy gauge steel, these hinges are designed for long-life performance under arduous conditions. These hinges have been endurance and corrosion tested.

3 Way Multi-Point Vectis Locking System

This doorset is supplied complete with a professionally fitted Vectis Multipoint lock, combining the security of a traditional 5-lever mortice lock with the added benefits of a hook bolt system.

Having removed the need for a Euro Cylinder, this lock is unique in its field and features an anti-bump security lock barrel.

These locking systems are designed to meet the requirements of PAS 23 and PAS 24 and are licensed by Secured by Design.

Our door sets are normally supplied without the handles attached for easier transportation. The locking system will be pre-fitted and it is therefore just a case of attaching the handles once your doorset is in place.

Macclex 15/2 Inward Cill & Conceal Fix Expelex rain deflector

The doorset will be supplied with a Conceal Fix Expelex rain deflector for double protection against rainwater and draughts. To avoid any sharp edges the guard is supplied with end caps which can be fitted once it has been cut to length.

After finishing the set, this should be fitted in order to protect your doorset from the elements.

On inward opening variants, this features a Macclex 15/2 Inward Cill to the rear and a rubber strip seal on the front and back. This will not be the case with outward opening variants as they only have one strip on the front. This product will help to save energy and therefore save money on your bills. A rear thermal barrier aids in the prevention of condensation. Suitable for moderately exposed locations.

This threshold has curved upstands to facilitate easy access for wheelchairs and prams. Along with being part M and BS8300 Equality act compliant.

Optional letter plate

Should you wish to have a letter plate fitted in the door, this can be done in the bottom or mid-rail depending on the style of door you are choosing.

If selected, this will be fitted and match the choice of hardware finish.

These doorsets are supplied ready to finish to your own tastes, they are able to be stained or painted. We recommend the use of Oil-based finishes.

The correct storage, fitting and finishing of your new door/s are very important factors in getting the best out of your purchase.

Please always avoid the use of water-based finishing products as this may cause the door to bow, warp or delaminate. Using these types of products will invalidate your guarantee.

Before finishing your door, we would always recommend reading our Door Care information which can be viewed by clicking here, along with any additional manufacturer's documentation supplied with the door itself.

These doors are manufactured using laminated veneered lumber (LVL). LVL or more commonly known as “engineered timber” is a modern method of construction that is economical with the use of natural timber resources.

The main parts & rails of the door are usually constructed using solid strips/blocks of timber (some internals may contain a laminated board and/or particleboard), which are then glued and then clamped together.

They are then faced with a veneer and edged with a solid timber “lipping”. The benefits of using engineered construction doors over more traditional methods are that it is far more unlikely to twist or split (we do not get problems with panels splitting) and possibly the most important reason is that it is much more eco-friendly!
