About this door

The 18G Paint Grade Plus (PGP) Flush FD60 Fire Door is an incredibly popular choice where cost, practicality, and simplicity are paramount.

Supplied as a paint grade, minimalistic unfinished door, ready for finishing on-site, these doors have the ultimate flexibility in terms of matching with other doors or interior styles. Reduce decorating time and costs, this factory-primed door boasts a high-density smooth surface;  ideal for spray painting, or other final finishing, to get the required look.

An unfussy door, simply flush without any kind of panel detail, this door has a huge range of uses.

Rated FD60, this means our PGP Flush FD60 Fire Door is fire resistant for 60 minutes, allowing time to escape in the event of a fire safely. Each fire rating is backed up by comprehensive independent testing and certifications to ensure FD30 doors perform as expected.

Featuring a 150mm x 1150mm glazing aperture towards one side of the door, these doors are supplied either unglazed with mitred and pinned beading or with an option of factory pre-glazing, in accordance with BWF specifications. If a fire certificate is required, these doors must be factory glazed.

A large range of complementary non-fire door and glazed fire door options are also available.

Things we thought you should know!

The maximum you can trim from these doors is 3mm from the left and right sides - 3mm from the bottom and nothing from the top. Any more than this will invalidate the fire certificate.

Before finishing your door, we would always recommend reading our Door Care information which can be viewed by clicking here, along with any additional manufacturer's documentation supplied with the door itself.

These doors are manufactured using laminated veneered lumber (LVL). LVL or more commonly known as “engineered timber” is a modern method of construction that is economical with the use of natural timber resources.

The main parts & rails of the door are usually constructed using solid strips/blocks of timber (some internals may contain a laminated board and/or particleboard), which are then glued and then clamped together.

They are then faced with a veneer and edged with a solid timber “lipping”. The benefits of using engineered construction doors over more traditional methods are that it is far more unlikely to twist or split (we do not get problems with panels splitting) and possibly the most important reason is that it is much more eco-friendly!
