The Oak LP Shaker Solid door from LPD Doors is a great option for those looking to add a contemporary twist to any home.

The simple 4 panel design of these oak doors is complemented with the attractive grain in the timber to add character and depth. With four central timber panels, surrounded by chunking stiles and rails, these are a shaker style door, meaning clean lines.

With the door built around the panels, the door benefits from a simplistic look without the need for a traditional timber beading around each panel.

Also available as a fire door and multiple glazed versions, this range allows you to complete the look throughout the property.

On this product there is an option to have the door made to a custom size. The maximum dimensions we can offer would be 915mm (36") x 2040mm (80 1/4").

Lead times for the manufacture of custom sized products are approximately 16 to 20 weeks. Anything outside of these measurements may require an additional charge or in some cases may not be able to be manufactured, please call us on 01142557800 before placing your order. 

Please be aware that during certain times of year, such as Christmas, festive and religious periods, this lead time may increase by up to 4 weeks.

Supplied unfinished, these doors are able to take a stain or paint finish. 

The correct storage, fitting, and finishing of your new doors are very important factors in getting the best out of your purchase.

Please always avoid the use of water-based finishing products as this may cause the door to bow, warp or delaminate. Using these types of products will invalidate your guarantee.

These doors are manufactured using laminated veneered lumber (LVL). LVL or more commonly known as “engineered timber” is a modern method of construction that is economical with the use of natural timber resources.

The main parts & rails of the door are usually constructed using solid strips/blocks of timber (some internals may contain a laminated board and/or particleboard), which are then glued and then clamped together.

They are then faced with a veneer and edged with a solid timber “lipping”. The benefits of using engineered construction doors over more traditional methods are that it is far more unlikely to twist or split (we do not get problems with panels splitting) and possibly the most important reason is that it is much more eco-friendly!
