About this door lining

The Internal Oak Single Door Lining is manufactured using solid timber, with a White Oak over-veneer. The veneer laminated construction has the advantage of extra stability and material economy without losing authenticity.

Unlike cheap MDF core alternatives, a solid timber core offers a strong product, good hold for screws and fixings and a great look.

With plant on door stops (stop laths), these linings are flexible enough to be used with different depths of internal oak doors.

The cut lengths supplied are sufficient to fabricate to most standard door sizes, although for pairs it may be necessary to utilise jambs from a second set.

Contents of 1 pack:

  • 1 x 1050mm x 22mm x 108, 133 or 150mm head
  • 2 x 2100mm x 22mm x 108, 133 or 150mm jambs (legs)
  • 3 x 12mm x 45mm door stops to suit

Door Lining Profile:

Supplied Unfinished, these frames are able to take a stain or paint finish. Our recommendation for a natural, clear finish would be to use a Treatex Hardwax Oil, which is available from the "Stains, Paints and Finishes" section of our website.

On this product, there is also an option for the frame to be supplied pre-finished by our french polisher. If you select this option, your frame will be supplied pre-finished to a professional standard.

Your frame will be pre-sanded before being sealed with a shellac sanding sealer. When dry, the frame is then "de-nibbed" with a 400 grit sandpaper and hand-polished with two coats of Finpol French-Polish, specially formulated for doors and internal joinery.

This achieves a great looking semi-matt finish which is resistant to knocks and finger marks and is smooth to the touch.

Selecting this option will add approximately a week on to any estimated lead time.
