About this door

The Pre-Finished Oak Inlay 1P Door Pair is a sublime designer door boasting sleek, elegant lines and characterful Oak wood grain. With crown-cut cross-directional faces, inlays are used to create an attractive and unique look suited to contemporary and traditional properties alike. The contrasting veneers form the illusion of a large single panel in the door, accented perfectly by the Walnut inlay.

We've put together this combination of 2 individual doors and a pair maker (optional) for your ultimate convenience! Now you can create a pair of doors in your favourite styles, ideal for those wishing to complement their existing doors.

Pair maker

The door pairs can be fitted with or without the optional pair maker. Using the pair maker adds 10mm to the tight sizes listed and not using it means that the doors will butt together with square meeting stiles. The pair maker may need to be finished and adjusted on-site to match your chosen doors.

Things we thought you may need to know!

Please note that these are two separate doors combined as a pair. We cannot assure an exact colour match, as they feature authentic wood veneers, and the grain will naturally differ.

A modicum of joinery work may be required to fit the pair maker.

Using the pair maker adds 10mm to the overall listed size, the doors may be trimmed to accommodate this, please check BEFORE making alterations.

Supplied pre-finished with a clear satin lacquer, these doors are factory finished. This requires no further decorating on site and creates a fantastic look which really does show off the quality of the oak veneer.

The correct storage, fitting and finishing of your new door/s are very important factors in getting the best out of your purchase.

Before finishing your door, we would always recommend reading our Door Care information which can be viewed by clicking here, along with any additional manufacturer's documentation supplied with the door itself.

These doors are manufactured using laminated veneered lumber (LVL). LVL or more commonly known as “engineered timber” is a modern method of construction that is economical with the use of natural timber resources.

The main parts & rails of the door are usually constructed using solid strips/blocks of timber (some internals may contain a laminated board and/or particleboard), which are then glued and then clamped together.

They are then faced with a veneer and edged with a solid timber “lipping”. The benefits of using engineered construction doors over more traditional methods are that it is far more unlikely to twist or split (we do not get problems with panels splitting) and possibly the most important reason is that it is much more eco-friendly!
