About this door

In a traditional cottage style, often referred to as a Mexicano or Suffolk style, the Solid Accoya Cottage door is a great choice for both traditional and modern buildings alike.

With defined lines and radiused edged grooves in the face of the door, this cottage style has great visual interest whilst not being too fussy.

Highly resistant to warping and twisting, Accoya is perfect for those who would like a durable timber door ideal for painting in a colour of your choice.

These doors are UK manufactured with professional CNC systems to BS644 standards.

The Accoya Cottage is available pre-finished in a range of colours to suit your style:

  • White (RAL9010)
  • Black (RAL8022)
  • Blue (RAL5011)
  • Green (RAL6009)
  • Grey (RAL7016)
  • Red (RAL3011)
  • Your personal preference of RAL colour (where you select this option, we'll contact you after order to confirm the colour you would prefer)

PLEASE NOTE: The colour in the photo examples of this door is a custom RAL, please contact us for more details.

As well as providing the visual look, the finishing system used on your door is its primary protection again moisture ingress and related failures. This is applied in a controlled environment using professional quality finishes and cured in a computer controlled infrared booth.

On this product, there is an option to have the door made to a custom size.

The maximum dimensions we can offer would be 950mm x 2100mm. Anything outside of these measurements may require an additional charge or in some cases may not be able to be manufactured, please call us on 01142557800 before placing your order.

Lead times for the manufacture of these custom-sized products are approximately four to five weeks. There is an additional charge for this service (see size dropdown box for details).

Please be aware that during certain times of the year, such as Christmas, festive and religious periods, this lead time may increase.

Accoya is a acetylated dimensionally stable wood, delivering remarkable levels of performance that is guaranteed for many years. It is designed not to visibly swell, shrink or distort, with minimal actual movement. Therefore for adverse weather locations or where performance is particularly important, Accoya is highly recommended.

This timber is first quality graded by our team before it is prepared for use. All of the timber sections of your door are processed through state of the art computer controlled moulding machinery to ensure close adherence to sizing tolerances.

The rails and stiles of your door are made using 2 or more sections of solid timber which we laminate together in house. Whilst this is a slower and more expensive method of production, laminating timber adds tremendously to its strength and makes the door much more resistant to any bowing and twisting. Where appropriate cross laminated panels are used for the core of some doors to add stability under adverse weather conditions.

If there is anything you are unsure of, our friendly team are here to help.
