About this door

The Hemlock 2XG Plywood Panel External Door is a great choice for customers wanting to bring as much light as possible into an area.

Very popular for rear doors, inner porch doors and a range of external applications, the simplistic design of the doors creates a great look with a single panel below a large glazing aperture.

These doors are manufactured in the United Kingdom using traditional mortice & tenon, wedged and glued construction.

These external Hemlock doors are supplied with a flat ply panel, which particularly suits doors which are to be painted.

The standard construction of these doors are constructed with an 80mm stile section (uprights) and therefore will not accept a 3" lock, we recommend that 2.5" locks are used on these doors.

These doors can also be manufactured with wider feature stiles (approx. 120mm finish) if required, please select from the dropdown above.

The doors can be supplied with raised and fielded matching timber panels, please give us a call on 0114 2557800 or drop us an email at info@doordeals.co.uk for more information.

Glazing

Various glass options are available and these doors will accept a 4/6/4 cavity double glazed unit.

Things we thought you may need to know!

Please be aware that any glass supplied may be temporarily glazed (loose pinned) into the door or even supplied separately. This is done to make the door easier to decorate (allows you to paint behind rebates) & handle whilst hanging.

These doors may be despatched with extended stiles (horns) to ensure protection during transit & storage. They can easily be removed prior to installation.

Excellent! The whole experience was outstanding

This door comes with the optional choice of glazing. We order the glass in especially for you, so it will add a small amount of time to the overall manufacturing lead times.

At present, most glazing options are taking between 3 - 10 working days (approx) to arrive into us.

Where available, specialist glass such as stained, leaded, or encapsulated glass can take up to 6 weeks; however, we think it's worth the wait!

It's important to factor in these lead times, as once ordered, we are unable to cancel or refund the glazing.

On this product, there is an option to have the door made to a custom size.

The maximum dimensions we can offer would be 915mm (36") x 2133mm (84"). Anything outside of these measurements may require an additional charge or in some cases may not be able to be manufactured, please call us on 01142557800 before placing your order.

Lead times for the manufacture of these custom-sized products are approximately three to five weeks. There is an additional charge for this service (see size dropdown box for details).

Please be aware that during certain times of the year, such as Christmas, festive and religious periods, this lead time may increase.

As these doors are made to order, there is a lead time of approximately three to five weeks for manufacture.

Manufactured from specially selected timbers, these doors are supplied ready for finishing. The doors are suitable for a paint finish.

The correct storage, fitting and finishing of your new door/s are very important factors in getting the best out of your purchase.

Please always avoid the use of water-based finishing products as this may cause the door to bow, warp or expand. Using these types of products will invalidate your guarantee.

As ready-to-finish doors, a modicum of preparation may be required on-site, pin-holes and loose knots may need filling and light sanding may be required before applying a finish to your doors.

Before finishing your door, we would always recommend reading our Door Care information which can be viewed by clicking here, along with any additional manufacturer's documentation supplied with the door itself.

If there is anything you are unsure of, our friendly team are here to help.
