Types of External Glazed Doors

Glazed doors are versatile by design and by their nature; we have a wide assortment of external glazed door types for you to choose from. Firstly, you can choose from a stunning range of timbers, including oak, hemlock and clear pine.

The available joints are mortice and tenon joints, as well as dowel joints; which to use depends on the function of the door. Finally, we have options that are pre-glazed and ready to install, or ready to glaze, which will require a little assembly.

Some of our favourites include the stunning ready-to-glaze hardwood Wellington, the exquisite hardwood Ealing Rose, and the striking hardwood Chapman. Whatever you are looking for in a glazed external door, you are bound to find it here.

Feature and Triple Glazed Doors

Triple and feature glazed choices can add real style to the exterior of your home. Many of the doors feature ornate designs and stained glass inspired by traditional artistry to give each glazed door a truly authentic feel.

Triple glazed doors are made by soldering and leading together individual pieces of cut, coloured or bevelled glass before sandwiching this glass in between two pieces of clear toughened safety glass.

This process results in a stunning feature window which is safer and easier to clean than many traditional glazed doors. We also provide frames for hardwood doors, locks and handles to complement the doors and create a beautiful finished look.

Custom External Glazed Doors

We stock a variety of sizes, from 457mm (18”) to 926mm (36.5”) in width, and 1,981mm (80”) to 2,134mm (84”) in height.

This covers the vast majority of general applications. If you are looking for a bespoke door that is not covered by our pre-set range of sizes, you can have a custom glazed door made to measure.

To find out if your preferred door is available in a custom size, select if from the list above. When you are asked for a preferred size, select Custom from the drop down (if available). A custom door will be subject to an additional fee – which will be made clear to you when selecting.
