External Softwood 30 Minute Fire Door Casing with Cill

About this frame

The External Softwood 30 Minute Fire Door Casing with Cill is manufactured using solid softwood & comes with a hardwood cill. Each frame is supplied flat packed and benefits from mortice & tenon joints.

The timber used for these frames is Vac-Vac treated offering protection, but should still be further treated.

The frame can be made to open inwards or outwards.

When ordering, please ensure you choose the size of door the frame is to suit.

Please be aware that as a purpose-made frame there is an approximate lead time of around 2 weeks for manufacture.

Choosing your size

The size you choose from the dropdown box above is NOT the outside measurement of the frame. It represents the size of the actual door. 

Once you've identified the size you require, please select it from the "Size:" dropdown.

Custom Sizes

These frames can be purpose-made to suit any size of door that you require up to a maximum size of 36" wide and 84" high. Please specify the size of the door the frame is to suit.

We are able to manufacture larger-sized frames for you - please contact us for more details.

Certification

This frame is only suitable for FD30-rated applications. We would always advise checking your fire door certification to ensure this frame meets the minimum requirements set out by the certification document. If you are at all unsure about the suitability of your door and frame combination, we’d also recommend speaking to a building inspector/your local planning office.

Our frames have been manufactured to meet the following requirements:

Minimum Density of 510kg/m3.

Often the fire door certification would specify the specification of the frame required to ensure compliance. 

Finishing

These casings are supplied unfinished meaning they can be finished to match your décor. They can be stained or painted to your preference.

Please note: these frames are supplied as a kit, assembly is required on-site. 

Supplied grooved to accept 15x4mm intumescent stips (sold separately).

Cill is supplied grooved to accept a waterbar (not included).
